95 engine problems

I have a 95 neon sport. I spent entirely to much on it but love it to death and will never trade it in. Anyways I am having some engine problem. As it is right now my car will start and drive, but the car shakes in low rpms. Also, from a stop when you hit the accelerator the cars runs at just over idle speed up until it reaches 2500 rpms. I plan on changing out the engine but for the moment do not have enough. Any help would be appreciated.

the car shakes in low rpms from from worn motor mounts if you replace them it will go away.
