engine noise what is it?

I just got a 2001 aurora with the 4.0 and it sounds like lifters might be tapping. It is after the engine warms up and the car has 48,000 miles on it. Does it even have lifters? Or does all the 4.0 tick a little bit at the front valve cover? It could be normal engine sound . What do u think?

All replies will be appreciated.

One quick, easy, and cheap thing to try (if you haven't done so already) is replacing the oil with the viscosity recommended in the OEM owner's manual.
