mass air flow sensor

Any one know how to test a mass air flow sensor on a 95 3100

If you suspect a bad one, give it a whack when the engine's running. Scan tool is another way, and there's a third way to check with a DVMM but I have no idea what it is.

Not sure if it would be good for the engine, but cloag the air intake with something, engine should run rough because of lack of air, which should trip the mass air flow sensor.

That's all I ever did. Just tap it sharply with a screwdriver handle while it's idling. If it's bad, the idle will break up or possibly even die.
