How do I change a fuel filter on a 1996 Pontiac Grand AM 2.4L?

Re: How to change a fuel filter on....

I think it is pretty much similar to our 1994 Pontiac Grand Am. Remove the fuel filler cap to release pressure.

Get a rag, the outlet side of the fuel filter has fixed nut where you can use a wrench to prevent the fuel filter from turning when you loosen the nut connecting the outlet fuel line.

The other side of the fuel filter is just a clip type where you just pinch the plastic clip to unlock it and remove the fuel filter from the inlet line.

Installation is the reverse.

Look under the back of the vehicle on the passenger side. It looks like the shape of a pop can, only smaller. If it is not there, it is likely along the side of the vehicle on the drivers side.
