5/32 vacuum hose config at rear of intake manifold?
'94 S15 4.3L V6 w/ CPI, auto everything
Can someone plz tell me the vacuum hose configuration for this engine? As far as I can see there is only one port that the 5/32" vacuum hoses hook up to at the rear of the upper intake manifold. There is a y connector back there. There is one 5/32" hose that comes from the black sphere (name? function?) by the coolant reservoir. There is another 5/32" hose that comes from near the brake master cylinder. When I don't hook this one up, the "ABS" warning light on the dash comes on. Thx! |

OK, I went and looked at a 1994 S15 Jimmy 4.3L in the wrecking yard.
The vacuum config is as follows: 3/8" vac hose connex from intake manifold (~1.5") to "Y" connector, straight through part of "Y" to 2nd vac hose connex (~1.5") down side of "Y" connected to narrow bore vac tube w/ straight fitting [I don't know the function] Then it connex to a 1 to 4 vacuum "H-" There is a regulator going into the "H-" 1. Driver's side rear of "H-" goes to HVAC controls [90-joint fitting on narrow bore black tube going into passenger compartment w/ wire harness] 2. Driver's side front of "H-" 5/32" vacuum hose goes to fitting in front of master cylinder [I don't know what this is] 3. Passenger side rear of "H-" [I don't know what attaches here] 4. Passenger side front of "H-" 5/32" vacuum hose goes to the Vacuum Reserve Tank (black ball) It doesn't matter where the different hoses get attached, as long as they are all attached to the "H-". They are all 5/32" fittings. The inlet through the regulator is 3/16" (i think)

most of the vacuum hoses in the rear of the intake manifold are related to the cruise control.
The black ball is called "cruise control vacuum tank" The check valve is called "valve, cruise vacuum check"
