Re: Clear coat

not too much i dont think, going to have to get it repainted soon. My clearcoat is all peeling off like crazy, i dont think there's much of it left. I need to get some major body work done because of the rust

Repaint with a good primer and paint , dodge was famous in the 90's for paint peeling and the only way to fix it was to repaint it. Dodge also didnt honor there paint warranties so this problem was like a plague. Neons were a good example of this. In my experiences it was a poor primer method they used non sanding primer to encourage a smooth finish but after the paint has been exposed for a few years the paint would seperate in large pieces and a chain reaction of paint falling off would occur. In your case the clear coat wasnt applied right and wasnt quite thick enough. It also didnt adhere right and comes apart easily. Dodge wasnt the only manufacturer at these times to have this problem but they were the biggest victims for it. I love Stealths by the way please repaint it that car deserves it.
