Rotor REmoval
I have a '99 Nissan Sentra GXE. I'm trying to do a brake job, I say trying because I cannot remove the front rotors. I have the caliper off and the new pads in but I cannot seem to get the rotor off. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

theres two bolts behind the rotor that hold the caliper bracket to the hub. in other words if u already took off the caliper there should only be 2 other bolts back there. once u take those out u should be able to remove the caliper bracket. then the rotor should be able to come off, if not just give it a slight tap with a hammer to loosen it up.

I removed those bolts as well. The rotor will not budge. Is it just rusted onto the hub and all it needs is a good nudge? I've tried using a hammer and a 2x4 to get it off but I won't give. I really hate to keep knocking on it if there's something else hold on to it. TNX

Re: Rotor REmoval
I did remove the axle bolt since I was told it needed to come off. I quickly realized it does not interfere with the rotor so I put it back.
I just wanted to be certain that rust is the only thing holding the rotor in place before I start hammerin' away. |
