SRT-4 dealer installs?

My friend seems to think that the dodge dealer will install stage 1, 2, and 3 kits on SRT-4s AND warranty them...is he full of shit or is this for real?

Re: SRT-4 dealer installs?

depends on the dealer. some wont have a problem with it. i would be sure he gets it in writting!!! if its in writting, they cant argue with it. he is not the first one to have a full warranty on a stage 3 turbo upgrade.

Re: SRT-4 dealer installs?

it just depends on the dealership. if you find a mod friendly one, there is no problem. one here in sanjose has replace 3 trannies in one srt due to nitrous problems, mind you the nitrous was still plumbed when they brought it in. they dont care, they still get paid from daimler-chrysler regardless of what is done.

but again, that is only if you can find a mod-friendly dealer in the area. the same can be said for probably any manufacturer out there. only with this company, they themselves produce a big turbo upgrade capable of more than 350hp - whithout changing anything else

Re: SRT-4 dealer installs?

I'm kind of scared though. Trading in my pony for a dodge neon.

You have reason to be scared, all that power and everything, I don't blame you...

Re: SRT-4 dealer installs?

though a stock gt mustang has more hp and tq than an srt-4..that was still pretty funny. but the reason i'm scared is because i heard those srt-4s aren't very reliable. not to mention i don't know if i'll still want to pay $400/a month on a dodge neon later down the road. But...it would ne really cool to have a brand new 12 second car for under $25,000 with a warranty.

Re: SRT-4 dealer installs?

um...i dont know who you talk to. the only problems with the srt4 come from impropper modding. the stang may make more power, but it weighs a lot more. the lotus elise makes a wopping 190hp but it will run mid to low 13's all stinkin day. so whats that 50hp less than a GT but a full second faster. hahahaha, what good is power if you weigh too much to use it

Re: SRT-4 dealer installs?

Right, but he said 'because of all that power' when it's actually less power, but less weight.
