contaminated engine oil

i have a gasoline engine that somehow has water in the oil, condensation i'm assuming, becavse it's mostly in the filler tube, and not too much on the dipstick. what's the best way to clean it out? is there a way i can flush it, or do i just have to change the oil and filter alot?

Re: contaminated engine oil

Well first of all watch your cooland level to make sure it isn't going down which is a possible source of the water how ever most likely it is just condisation from the warm up cycle what you discribe is a common affliction of cars that are taken on repeated short trips with out being given the oppertunity to reach normal operating temperature. Your best solution is to take the car for a long drive a couple times a month and change the oil more frequently. Also make sure the pcv valve is operating correctly
