Speed Sensor location(s)

I recently bout a 92' F-150 A/T 300 6-Cyl. with 98,000 original miles on it. The tranny fluid was flushed and new gasket installed before I purchased it. But, the truck still stutters when gas is applied at constant speed, and hesitates to take off when pressing the gas in any gear from stand still (engine revs before it takes off). The orig. owner told me BOTH speed sensors needed to be replaced to fix the 2 problems above. I have figured out that the ABS sensor on rear axle housing is also called a speed sensor. Where is the other speed sensor located?
I have replaced the ABS sensor on the rear axle housing and replaced spk plugs and wires. And I have also looked all over the transmission and in the Haynes manual for it. Any help or suggestions to fix the problems?
TIA

Sounds like a slipping transmission to me. Engine revving before engagement will not be affected by a speed sensor.

Re: Speed Sensor location(s)

Supposedly the shop told him the transmission was fine and just the sensors needed replaced. Could a TPS sensor cause that?
Thanks for the reply

dear sir
the tps is located on top of motor by linkage on throttle body
that trans is eletric it may have a cable for speedomadter
the tps controls shift pattern and the speed the trans shifts at
make sure you in stall the right one
make sure the wires you install are in good to the plugs and cap
it would not hurt to change cap and rotor
sputtering means the cylinder that is firing at that monent is not getting the proper spark
or if the trans is slipping im not there to see or test
if its racing then backing in to gear its the trans not working right
if speed odomater is not working or bouncing then its the speed senser
when goes bad it will make trans act like it is shot
there is a senser in the trans on driver side of trans
then that means there is a cable running the the speed odomater
there is a worm gear that the speed senser slips into in the side of the trans
replace worm gear that is the cheapest and that is a dealer part
it is about 5 dollars
if not that then replace the speed senser were you pulled the worm gear from ,it should be close to the tail on trans driver side

Re: Speed Sensor location(s)

With an F-150 it would be an AOD.

If it shudders from a stop pretty hard, the torque converter is JUNK. Ditto if it shudders hard while accelerating. The AOD T/Cs had a mechanical lock-up, and this is how they fail, exactly.
