Steering control box

Hi guys:
I will try to explain this as clear as my poor english skills allow me to: my steering wheel is not exactly aligned. I mean, when I am driving the normal position of my steering wheel is around 20 degree to the left. Instead of being like this --- it is like this /

Now, my question is: how can you tell if I have to take the steering wheel off to find its right position?... or should I check some adjustament (maybe a bolt or something) in the steering control box? How can I tell if somebody move the steering adjust before? The car does turn pretty much the same on both sides.

Thanks in advanced everyone!!

MC

Re: Steering control box

you can take the wheel of and straighten it or use the tie rod adjustments on them to set it straight but then you would have to get it alingned

Re: Steering control box

If you go to a reputable shop and have it aligned they should set the wheel straight before they do the alignment. Otherwise get a puller and take the wheel off and fix it yourself as Crvette69 said
