I recently bought my first BMW a 1994 530i in great shape with only 92,000 miles. The car runs great with no noticable problems. Does this model and year have a good history? What are some of the common problems I may expect to find? Just trying to get prepared. Any insights are appreciated. Thanks Nathan

Hi Nathan: I am new at the Bimmer game, but I have yet to hear anything bad about any BMW's, but I am sure they must be something, maybe someone here at the forum will respond to your question who is more qualified than me on BMWs. By the way: Congratulations on your 1994 BMW! (I was told when I was searching for mine in April 2004, a BMW thats been taken care of and maintain at the BMW service intervals, most of the time just gets broke in good at 100,000 miles, and some BMWs have been known to last well over 300,000 miles! Re: 94 530i Good or Bad Car??
there is a problem with the engines .there are made completle out of aluminum no cast iron sleves so they have cylinder cooating called nickacil and it will wear out if you don't put premium gas in at .there was a recall
on thouse to but it was 100 k or five years warranty you can look up numbers from the engine valve cover right side remove top cover .first |
