99 Taurus SE Deck Install

i want to install a deck in my taurus, but i have the integrated digital stereo and heat/ac controls, i know that i will need an in-dash adaptor to install the deck but the only ones i have seen use manual heat/ac controls. does this mean if i want a deck i will have to loose the digital heat/ac interface? does anyone know of any adaptors that use the digital interface?

i have a 96 sho
it has the electronic climate control
there is NO plastic kit for the digital control
ive been to many places asking
it can be done custom but is very expensive
im a car audio nut
ive installed in over 150 different kinds of cars
im not too sure if you can convert digital to the knobs and use that plastic kit but i dont think thats possible

some people keep the radio the way it is and make their own fibergalss kit and put the deck in place of the ashtray or ive even heard cases of them putting it in their glovebox

i plan on putting a competition worthy system in my sho
and that isnt possible with the stock head unit

what i want to do is take it out
keep the electronic climate control
take out all the radio buttons and display
fiberglass it over and make it all smooth
cut my own rectangle hole for a deak and run new power and memory wire
and its going to be competiton style so all my interior speakers are going to be powered by a 4 channel amp in the trunk with new wires running to all the speakers

anyways the radio isnt even in the dash
its just the buttons and the "brain" is in the left side of the trunk under the carpet

yeah there is a universal kit that you can mount anywhere but i dont like it personally. but its cheaper than the manual climate control. best buy has the manual for 90 dollars and the universal is about 25 dollars...

Check out crutchfield.com they have alot of stuff that usually accomodates every scenario.
