ac/heat cabin fan wont blow right

On switch setting 1, 2,and 3 in my 94' 325i the blower (fan) for cabin air recently stopped working. Setting 4 blows hard.

Any ideas?

I'm chasing down an A/C issue on my 87 325i, and on the wiring diagram I think I saw a blower motor control resistor. I wonder if that's gone bad.

Do you have access to a wiring diagram?

Thanks ,jzanutto. No I don't have a diagram. Thanks for the tip. I did speak to my trusted mechanic in another city. He guessed it might be the resistor too. He said he has seen them blow in different ways, where a couple of blower settings work and others don't. I need to find find out how to test the resistor.
