Intake Manifold install

Yea, I know Civsiguy and someone else installed a skunk2 intake manifold on an si, I have an LS engine and have gotten my skunk2, i was wondering how hard it was to install, it looks like a bitch considering its at the back of the engine bay. Should i pay a shop to do it?

I wouldnt pay a shop to do it. There is only like 9 bolts and some wires running into the block and other places to take it off. I would so it yourself and save the money.

It's very easy to install... here is the simple instructions:

Pre-Install: Go to your Honda dealership and buy a new Intake Manifold Gasket and Throttle Body Gasket.

1) Unplug all wiring harnesses on the throttle body and intake manifold.

2) Take all the hoses off the throttle body and intake manifold. Mark them if you don't think you can remember where they go.

3) Unbolt your throttle body from your intake manifold and set your throttle body aside, with the throttle cable still attached.

4) Unbolt your fuel rail with everything still in tact. Set the fuel system on your valve cover, out of the way.

5) Unbolt your intake manifold. The ones on the underside are kind of a bitch, but shouldn't take anymore than 20 minutes.

6) Scrape any reminence of your Intake Manifold Gasket off of your head with a felxible puddy knife. Make sure you don't get anything in your head.

7) Now, just put the thing back together how you took it apart.

It's not all that difficult. Just don't be afraid to tear in and move things around. It's mostly Nuts and Bolts. Nothing to piss your pants about. But the guys are right, if you REALLY don't think you can do it, pay $100 to have it put on. I saved myself $100... sucker...
