87 Iroc-z
Hey everyone, I'm looking into this 87 IROC. It has the 305 TPI w/76k on it, it's an auto, and it has t-tops. The owner told me that the passenger door needs to be replace(I don't know how bad it is but i assume bad) and it's just needs some TLC, which to give it plenty of. All this for whopping $1695. What do u guys think?

Re: 87 Iroc-z
Sounds a little pricey for a 18 y/o car thats damaged.. But its hard to say without knowing why the door has to be replaced, and how much TLC it needs!
Anyways, if its a 5speed manual, it come with 215hp and 295ft lbs, If its an auto its got 190hp and 295 ftlbs.. The manual tranny Iroc engines had a more aggressive cam giving them 25 extra hp

Re: 87 Iroc-z
that price really isn't bad for the amount of miles on it. A damaged door wouldn't drop the value too much.

Re: 87 Iroc-z
Yeah, I'd probably pay that much for that car, assuming that the door is still on the car and everything.

Actually thats not a bad price at all, considering in a couple years it will become a classic which will shoot the value up even more....

I finally got a chance to use the computer at work. I misunderstood what the guy said, he said he replaced the door. I drove all the way out to londonderry, NH last night after work to go get it , and when i saw it i was shocked. The car was in excellent shape, there was no body rust, paint was peeling, but no big deal. Interior needs TLC, engine needs alittle work, but it starts up fine runs great. The only thing i didn't like was that i had to drive it home on i-93, in the snow, with one worn out windshield blade, and one broking one. Other i had to cough up $1900 for but i still think that it was steal, i haven't seen one in this kinda shape for awhile.
