Gahh, what convinced you to buy a Vibe? There are cheap sports cars for sale! You cold get a Porsche 968 for less money!

this is why...

The vibe is a very cool sport wagon. Wagon is the key word. It has a ton of cargo space for friends, trips and outside activities. Can you put your mountian bike in the back of a Porsche? Can you buy a brand new Porsche for less than $20,000. I think not. The Porsche is cool but in a whole different classification of vehicles all together.

I love my Vibe

I understand, I have a wagon also. A minivan as well. I've seen porsche 944 turbos with a wagon style hatch on the back. Utility and fun!

Hey vibedriver

Any chance you'll be posting pics of your vibe?
I'm considering it but there have been articles complaining about the
lack of low end power. I'm wonder if its true from your point of view.

Thanks

power.

True the low end power is weak.... Nice to save on gas!!! But when you need it.... @ 6k the "turbo" kicks on and you fly.... 6k in first gear comes up real quick, shift into second around 5k and after that your gone.

I like the car and the lack of low end power doesn't really affect you when it's needed most!!!!!

I'll post up some pics soon!

turbo?

Not really a turbo charger. I meant that in the VVTL-i engine, the secondary valves open up @ 6k that gives you a really nice boost, feels a little like turbo.

Still luvin' the Vibe GT

I was looking at a vibe gt myself... just wondering if u know of any aftermarket mods for it yet? I was especially interested in knowing if you can add a turbo, and if so where can I get one? Also, between this and the Camaro, with 36 cubic feet of cargo space, what do you recommend (same price)?

vibe vs. camaro

The Camaro is faster but this car is much cooler....

Honestly this thing is pretty quick and if I redline the tach (8200RPM) it feels almost as fast as my automatic Z28......

For some pics go here: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/vibegt2003/

Other Vibe owners can also post their pics up here!!!

See Ya round!

aftermarket

Aftermarket Mods: As of yet I want to say no. But as toyota has a pretty good aftermarket parts we should see something probably around summertime......

Cold Air intake and exhaust are right around the corner.... A quick mod from the celica parts are all thats really necessary!

Take a look here: p://www.vibeparts.com/

Later!

wake up and smell my ass :)

Lets face it. The year is 2002, we are no longer in the Smokey and Bandit days. We want a car that looks cool is quick and has useful functionality. I couldn't even get a couple of my buddies in my Camaro. How is that cool?

The Camaro was fast, but it handled like crap, aweful on wet or icey pavment, I was stuck in my house in an inch of snow.....

Not worth the cash..... Subaru Impreza WRX is 10X better and cheaper than a Z28.

The Vibe looks cooler, way better interior, more comfortable to drive, and better handling and fun-ness.

Good job GM - The F-Body's Dead and Sport Compacts are in
