Heat
I purchased a 97 Civic LX recently and my only complaint is that it takes forever for the needle of the heat gauge to rise and when it does it only goes a quarter way up as opposed to halfway up as it does in my other Hondas. Also the heat in the car is not really hot until the needle rises.
Someone suggested that I should change the theromostat, another said to change the sensor. You advise is deeply appreciated, Marty |

Re: Heat
Your heater core could be junk. Other than that i'm not too familiar w/ the wiring and thermostat.

May be a thermostat stuck partially open. This would cause the engine to NOT reach operating temp and the heat would also be luke warm.
Does it get hot when the car just sits and colder when your driving? |

sounds like the thermo isn't in or stuck open.
