heater blower and power

ok i have an 89 dx, all fuses are in place and good, there is power down on the floor, checked it with a circuit tester, but up at the switch i have no power, some dip shit did cut the old radio out and i doubt it but there might be a wire in there, but seince none of them seem to hang down there i doubt it, i was woundern if i could just "hot wire" the blower to the on position, useing a toggle switch, and if i could does anyone know whic wire i need to hook the power to and which to ground to. also when i turn it to defrost, i dont get any air out of it when moving, wheres the intake, or is it something else? thanks, and if it doesnt make sence im sorry.
