Thumbs up

Sounds to me like you ain't getting enough current to the starter. As your batt is fine I would hazard a guess that it is a poor connection at one of three places, ether the batt terminals (Disconnect and clean), your earth connection to the block (Disconnect and clean) or the large power wire to the starter. Once again you guessed it DISCONNECT AND CLEAN. Forget about the coil/wireset, it has no effect on the starter’s ability to crank the motor over.

Let us know how you go... I'd be surprised if this doesn't fix your issue.

Responses all over!

Looks like at 41 posts in response to your original thread.
Counting the link that Brian pointed to.
Here read this one:

Look FORGET everything else! KEEP IT SIMPLE! You should only be concerned with the starting circuit. Get it to where it will turn over consistantly THEN worry about the GD secondary ignition parts.

Worry this:
BATTERY
Starter cables (high current)
STARTER (includes selenoid, contacts, mechanical travel)

Remember this, most of the help that is offered here is offered up by individuals that, if they had your rig at their fingertips could have it running befur lunch. Help them help you.

Good Luck

Assuming this turns over with a wrench on the Crank Bolt.

OMG! I just assumed it would still!
The first thread stated it was turning over BUT..........
The cables would be getting pretty warm!
Pull the plugs run compression tests etc...
