Enable European frequences in old ZX radio?

Is there a simple way of enabling ALL european FM frequences in my radio of a 1987 Nizzan 300ZX USA model? (Europe does not skip even multiples of 0.1 mHz) I want to be able to tune in 88.5, 88.6, 88.7, 88.8 and so on.

Because it is very inconvenient not to be able to listen to all FM stations in Europe. Only to those ending with .1 .3 .5 .7 .9 mHz.
For example: It is impossible to tune in a station like 98.0, because you don't have that frequency in the US.

Honestly I dont think there is a way to reprogram the head unit to do that, may want to ask around at audio shops in the Euro community, I am sure there are places that can do it, or just get you a european head unit.

i never knew that about the frequencies...i guess that could bring about a problem if your favorite european station is an even number.

your probably going to have to buy a new head unit...

Re: Enable European frequences in old ZX radio?

That's what I would do... the stock head unit in those old Z's are crap anyway! For $50 you can get a decent brand spanking new head unit...

Re: Enable European frequences in old ZX radio?

I just took a chance and hoped that there would be just a 'jumper' to remove or something like that. I honestly think they deliver the same radio all over the place, with just a minor modification. I schematic diagram would reveal that.
