Brahma 15 with ZRS-8 or NINe.1?
I'm on the verge of making my purchase for the amplifier since the Brahma's are on backorder. I'm definitely getting the Brahma, but now I'm trying to make my amplifier decision.
Would I gain anything significant enough to spend double the money on a ZRS-8? Give me as much information as you can.

Re: Brahma 15 with ZRS-8 or NINe.1?
with the zrs-8 you would probably gain a bit more power, better reliability, and support from a company that doen't discontinue everything and completely re-vamp their lineup every year or so. Whether that's worth an extra $300 or so is up to you.

Re: Brahma 15 with ZRS-8 or NINe.1?
to explain some of my comments a bit before people start jumping on me....
yes I know the nine.1 has benched a little over 1500, but I have personally measured the output of my zrs at 46Vrms before clipping (without a speaker attached). P=V^2/R, which means with a negligable voltage drop with a speaker attached (probably wouldn't be that negligable, but shouldn't be too much since it has such a high damping factor), it would put out slightly over 2100rms before clipping. Through my research I found a few SPL competitors who had switched from the A7HC to the ZRS and recorded a 1-2dB increase in output after the switch. Assuming the A7 put out exactly its rated 1400rms, a 1dB increase would mean the ZRS put out 1762rms, and a 2dB increase would mean the ZRS put out 2218rms. I have also never come across someone who has blown a Cadence amp, any of them. I'm sure they're out there, but I've never seen any, and that includes people who ran the A7HC at .25ohm for competition and .5ohm daily (rated at 1ohm minimum, it was the precursor to the zrs-8), and people who are currently running the ZRS-8 at .5ohm in competitions. The nine.x amps have only been out for several months (started shipping at the end of the summer I believe), and I have seen several blown ones already, they were warranted without question, I'm just saying....

Re: Brahma 15 with ZRS-8 or NINe.1?
Threedd, do you think u can tell the difference? just buy the cheaper one, both are great amps
i would actually recommend the crossfire vr1000d, crossfire rates their amps at 12.5, the vr1000d usually puts out between 1200-1350 no prob |

Re: Brahma 15 with ZRS-8 or NINe.1?
I personally would go with the nine.1. I've had some experience with this amp (had a little problem w/ the HU but its straightened out now) Its a VERY nice amp. Very efficient runs cool and puts out a clean signal. Let me say this loud THREE YEAR WARRANTY. So if it would happen to fail (highly unlikely) you get a new one. as far as power is concerned you RARELY need over 1200 watts to bring a brahma to full output. As far as reliablilty goes you probably won't have a problem from either amp. The price is what sells me on the nine.1. In my opinion its not worth double the money for it. With all that said I'd get a nine.1. Another option is gettin a used cadence. I haven't had any problems buying used yet.
