Detailed 1/43 Airfix Mini Cooper

Hi Guys

Been in hibernation for a while and havent done a single kit since last years EVO III and Celica is still up in blocks, anyway friend Martin got bored and decided to build a 1/43 scale airfix mini cooper and asked me to post it here, mind you this guy is a military geek and usually dont build cars hence the weathered wheels, washed panel lines, fully plumbed engine, rust etc..

The engine was completely scratch built yes he was very "BORED" all doors were opened and a lot of extra details everywhere, basicaly he kinda built this little Mini Cooper and see how much small detail he can cram into this tiny 1/43 scale model, heres a couple of quick pics we took today with a crappy camera we had at work, will take a few closer shots when i bring a better camera in to work tomorrow.

Im trying to convert him to start building cars and quit playing with tanks and geeky soviet planes,go the zvezda and smer kits!!

Ok guys here some more before pics of this little mini

I really like it! I built it myself a few years ago and i know how small this car is in 1/43..
Modelling coming close to micro-surgery , right?

A mini in 1/43??? That's about 7 (!) cm of Mini.
And I thought the Tamiya 1/24 would be small.

Nonetheless: It looks fantastic.
