Question How do I install a new fuel filter??

Has anyone done this before?? Know where I can see some pics of an install?? I picked up one from work, but I don't want to screw up installing it. I need to do this like, NOW...

Re: How do I install a new fuel filter??

Just follow the instructions and you'll be fine. Use lots of rags to catch fuel that may drip.

OK, I will keep that in mind. looks a little confusing,

what is tep one telling me remove "fuel filler cap" what is that???

so i guess i dissconnect the - battery, relive the fuel presure (i will screw that one up) on that banjo thing with one turn?? then just take both bolts of, and replace with new filter, then just tightin all the bolts back up and im good to go????

Im sure theres more, this sounds to simple???

OK, so I don’t have to go nuts when I see fuel spiting out all over, lol

It just stops after a few seconds??

Then I can continue taking it all apart??

Then when I replace it, just do the install reverse of the disconnect, and then just start it up?? !!!

Re: How do I install a new fuel filter??

Yeah, try to line up your banjo/service bolt so the hole is not obstructed (ie. don't over tighten/not tighten enough). One of my bolts was super tight, but some manliness and maneuvering around the car to get it off did the trick. Other than that, it's fairly easy.
