Well I gapped my valves today because I was hearing the faint tickking sound of excessive gaps between rocker arm and valve springs, and it really needed it. so i did it and it runs better, BUT
when I turned my crank pulley bolt i could hear pressure building up pressure in the combustion chamber, and then I can hear it go Pshhhhand escaping to somewhere, and i think it is going from my 2nd cylinder to my third and vice versa. has anyone gapped their valves recently and or noticed a similar sound? is it possible that maybe i just have shot piston rings and it goes down to like my oil pan? and my idle has been really bad lately, but isnt that 9 times out of 10 from bad fuel injection/intake

Re: headgasket crack between cylinders?
Usually the pshhhh sound is the compression blowing out.

Re: headgasket crack between cylinders?
out my exhaust valve? you know i never even thought about that, i suppose if i go back in there again i might as well take off my headers while i turn the crank bolt and see if thats the case.
