a loud BANG
i was driving home from college today when my car started to rattle then made a loud then started smoking i waited for the smoke to clear then drove home when i got home and started to look around and inspect i found when i put water in the radiator it poured out the back of the engine any one got a clue as to what it could be i checked to hoses that went to the heater core by the way it is a 89 non sc

Expensive! It sounds like you drove your car with no water in it. You could have warped the block, heads or both. Is the water coming out where the head mates to the block? If the water is pouring out it shouldn't be hard to find the exact spot it's leaking from. After the smoke (steam?) cleared did you check the water level or just drive it home?

sounds like you mighta blown the head gaskets. welcome to owning a 3.8l ford.
