96 maxima timing belt replacement

96maxima,200k on the engine,no timing belt replacement.im told that if it breaks it could mess up the engine,so how hard and how long will this job be.iwhat is the process?

Its not a belt, its timming chain. It was desinged to last the life of the car. It doesn't need to be replaced unless it goes. Good luck.

i must have been thinking honda for some reason,thanx for clearing that up,how do you know that its made to last the life of the car?
