99 Cherokee Sport Rear Defrost Not Working

When I use my rear defrost only the center and the top conduter work. Are the rest damged or could it be a fuse? Where do I get a replacement and how to install?

Re: 99 Cherokee Sport Rear Defrost Not Working

If those two grids are working then it is not the fuse, breaker or relay.

To check and find the breaks in each grid you will need a volt meter and follow the instructions in this web file. I know it works on older jeeps and should work on yours too.

http://assets.fluke.com/appnotes/aut...e/beatbook.pdf

You will need adobe acrobat to open it. Page thru till you find the one on rear window defoggers on page 15.

lots of other stuff in there too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If I find breaks is there any way to repair them?

There are epoxy repair kits available with instructions.

I know that they work with earlier models.
