rearend noise

I have a 2000 s-10 ext 2wd- I drive it hard and alot 112000 miles on it.
Ive had a noise in the rearend for a while so I did the usual u joint and carrier bearing change out. I still have the noise its a clunk at slow speeds and i notice it more when turning left, also noticed that when shifting there is a kind of lag from hitting the pedal to when it catches.If anyone knows what I should check next or if this has happened to anybody please let me know.
