Unhappy Almost Stalls in Reverse..

Ever since my MAF said bye bye, this has been happening. I replaced my maf sensor, everything good-had autozone take off my check engine light.

Symptom...

On cold mornings, or if the car was sitting in the cold OVER like 6 hours, i get in, start her up, wait like 2 minutes for the idle to stabilize. Now i put my car into Reverse. The second it goes in reverse, and i'm turning the wheel, my rpms drop to 400 and my volts guage drops, making the car feel as if it's going to stall.

I believe it's a messed up IAC valve, but really aint gonna go out there and look, cause it's 15 degrees in the sun. This problem never happens when it's over 40 degress, or summer sime etc. This problem STARTED when my MAF sensor went bad.

BTW, where is the iac located on a 95 4.6 ..?

Re: Almost Stalls in Reverse..

Forgot to mention, the rpms drop to 400 then back up to a normal 500-600 for reverse.

Re: Almost Stalls in Reverse..

The IAC is located behind the intake beside the air horn. You'll need and 8mm socket and a magnet to replace. Also never use a cheap air filter or the new MAF will bite it again!
