Re: What are some good aftermarket fog lights???

i had some 1,000,000 candle power kc lights on my 71' scouts front bumper. They was bright but sort of left me wanting more. But they did have a cover made made specially for foggy days ,that actually worked too.

If your lookin for somthin cool then go look some cop car lights,ya know the ones that go by the windshield and can be pointed at stuff.get the big dorkey chrome ones and put some helicopter search lights in them. Then you can get back at those bastards with the altezza *in yo face* lights.

Re: What are some good aftermarket fog lights???

on your formula dont you have those triangle ish shaped lights. if thats the case i dont think you can change the light but you can change the bulb. go to walmart and check to find the bulb number on your car, then go out to a "speed" shop and see what they have for diff colors and diff brightnesses.
for the headlights. california customs sells a pop up to non pop up conversion kit. they are very very bright and very very expensive. and there are tons of other options for your headlights. i converted mine from sealed beam to composites, and now run piaa off road lights. way brighter than the factory crap.

Re: What are some good aftermarket fog lights???

Yo you can buy headlights for your car that aren't closed beam. These allow you to put any bulb into your headlight. They were on ebay for the longest time for $160. The non pop up conversion costs you a grand and looks like garbage.

As far as foglights and turn signals. I just installed some Sylvania Silverstars today. Big difference but expensive.

Those look like shit, they come too far out.

I use a xeon "like" bulb in mine. Makes a white light instead of the shitty yellow. Easy to install, safe and cheap. If you are looking for a cleaner look at night--this is the way to go. This website--20 bucks after shipping, just buy um. You will see what im talking about.

hey importeater38

how did you install those? did the bulb just slide right into the fog light? i think i have seen those bulbs in auto zone and advance auto.

i'm looking for a cheaper way to enhance my fog lights and buying a brighter hid like bulb would be great but the glass on my foglights are clowdy and grimey. is there a way i can polish the grime off of the glass and add that "new glass clarity" back to it?

Intalling them is simple, but u need to jack up your car a bit. Pop the clips out that hold the air baffle or debris barrier (whatever it is). Once u have those off u can get "inside" your bumper and loosen the bolts that hold the foglights in. Take the whole fixture out. The bulbs are twist lock. So just give um a turn counter clockwise and they will por right out.

Funny you should mention that hazy look, i have my foglights on the kitchen counter right now, debating on the best aproach to makem clear again. First, im gonna use this stuff called Plexus. Its designed to clean and polish plastics. Its commonly found in paintball shops because it works great on goggle lenses. Comes in an aresol can. I use it on my tailights every time i clean my car. Works great on CDs too. If that doesn't do the trick im gonna get jewelers polish, they make one that works for plastics. Trick is, do it by hand. If you do it with a dremel you will blur the plastic from the friction generated heat. And if that doesn't work, im gonna go get 1000 watt halogen worklights and jam them in there. My bumper will melt and turn into a fire ball, but hey, it will look cool for a while when i cruise byt the mall entrance right!?!?!
