Best Way To Burnout

A friend and I are going to be having a burnout contest tommorow at his house and since this is my first manual car what is the best way to burnout? I have heard hold the gas and let the clutch out until the tires spin and then keep the clutch there??? Any ideas...

Re: Best Way To Burnout

An advice. If you want to be cool...dont do a burnout with your first car and dont try to figure it out yourself.

Go get a "live strong" bracelet for the cancer cure, you will be cooler with that.

its hard with a manual RWD car. You have to drop the clutch at rather high rpm and floor it and then quickly get your left foot onto the brake.

unless your car has a lot of torque, than you don't have to launch at that high rpm. After a few seconds of holding the brake, just let off, your car will thank you later.

Re: Best Way To Burnout

This works: With the clutch fully depressed, turn your right foot sideways and put it on the brake. Now, with the tip of your toes press the gas pedal. Rev it up really high and dump the clutch while holding the brake and gas to the floor.

Tomarrow morning take your car into a shop and have a line loc installed, and you'll be able to do burn-outs as long as the tires or engine last.

Re: Re: Best Way To Burnout

Okay thanks guys, I had thought about getting a line loc for the track also. Dampachi I tried your suggestion and that worked well, its nice not having a automatic FWD car
