Anyone From New Jersey in Here?

I'm moving to New Jersey in August. To the McGuire/Ft. Dix/Wrightstown area. I already know I'll be fairly close to Atlantic city, and 90 minutes from NYC. What else is there around that area to do? Been told McGuire is in the middle of nowhere pretty much.

So if anyone is here from NJ can you please tell me more about the area?

Im from jersey, right outside NYC. Theres about the same amount of stuff to do here as anywhere else. Atlantic city is fun though and NYC is a blast. Cops in nj sux balls though, especially on the highways between AC and NYC. So watch that speeding(or get a valentine1).

I live in the Paramus/Ramsey/Saddle River/Mahwah/Montvale area in Bergen County, right on the border with Rockland County, NY. Lotta stuff in NJ to do. You're only a half an hour from Long Beach Island, awesome place to go. There's good mountain and winter activities if you go up north to NY. There's Princeton, and Philidelphia only an hour away i believe. The biggest shopping mall on the east coast is in West Nyack, New York, only 20 minutes form the border of NY to NJ where I live, and one of the biggest in NJ, the Garden State Plaza, Bergen Mall, Short Hills Mall, awesome places to shop. Lots more, cant remember.

Re: Anyone From New Jersey in Here?

King of Prussia in PA is only an hour or so from where you'll be. There's LBI, Princeton, Six Flags. Tweeter Center in Camden, and East Rutherford has Giants stadium. You'll be about 2 hours North of DE where there's rehobeth beach and Philadelphia can be reached in ab 45 minutes. You can get to NYC via NJ transit for ab $15 round trip in ab an hour and driving...depends on traffic, how you drive...hour and a half to 2 hours. In trenton, there's the 'burg if you like Italian. and Freehold and Cherry Hill mall are within 30 minutes. Great eats and just a nice area....You'll be in a bit of the boondocks but it's a nice area.
