Girl who needs help!
I have a 2000 chev cavalier, I just got it inspected 3 days ago, and today I went to start my car, everything seemed fine (its really cold and we had a "blizzard" today) - I started down the road and my traction control light came on, I got kind of scared so I turned around and came home and then when I restarted the car the engine light came on. I drove around thinking that maybe alot of snow might have somehow gotten under the hood and it might be causing some problems, even went through a car wash .. haha .. but hours later when I start my car, the lights come on right away! Anyone have an idea what it might be? I hope its nothing major .. 3 days ago my ABS light, Service light, and Traction Control light were on, it was the rear wheel sensor that I had to fix! Please help!!

blizzard? where u from? i had a "blizzard yesterday"
and as far as the lights it could be any number of things even another sensor

thanks yeah, I took my car to the shop today, he said the traction control is not responding at all on the computer, so I will need to bring it back in later this week, and as far as the engine light on, he said the computer shows that its something to do with the engine fan, said it might just be a fuse, he told me it would be ok, just to keep an eye out on the temp gauge and again he would look into later this week! ( I'm in Moncton, New Brunswick - and we did have a blizzard yesturday - along with Nova Scotia!!!)

I'd be more concerned with the fan. Provided the temp gauge doesn't go too far past 90 you should be OK. If the engine gets hot crank up the heater and get the car moving if you have to. BTW. If it's a fuse you can fix it yourself. The fuse could have blown because the fan was jammed up. If you replace the fuse & it blows again, i'd suggest you take it in for service. I forget where the fuse is for the cooling fan. There's two possibilities. 1. When you open the drivers door, look at the left side of you dash (the very end where the door closes up against.) There's a little door there. If you open the door by prying on the tab there's a bunch of fuses and a diagram on the back of that door telling you what fuse is for what. 2. There's a fuse and relay block under the hood along the drivers side right along the edge by the fender. There's a diagram on the top of it telling you what fuse / relay is for what. It could be there. Pull out the fuse that corresponds to coolant fan and see if it's blown. If so, replace with same.

Thank you for your response, my boyfriend found the fuse box and took out the one for the fan, turns out it was blown! I live right down the street from the shop where I take my car, he said he would get me a new one first thing in the morning. **I hope thats all it is!** The traction control will wait a bit I guess, me too I am more worried about the engine fan! I can't drive with out that
 (Yee-haw, another snow storm for New Brunswick/Nova Scotia tomorrow!!!)
