tranny leak?

last night i put three quarts of tranny fluid in my car. to day it actin funny again. when i step on the gas it revs up but doesnt go anywhere. after adding the fluid it acted perfectly fine. it happened again today. when i checked the dip it looked like it was empty again. unless i didnt let it idle very long before checking.this is my only car and cant afford another. if i really have to i might rebuild or replace. trying to avoid that at all costs. whats the best way to tell if or where a trany leak would be comin from and whats the most reccemended way of fixin it? like go to shop or would and chemicals work?

Sounds like a leak. Put a piece of carb board held down by a rock under the tranny and see if you see any spots in the morning. Something may have hit the pan, causing it to leak. I had this happen to me once in a Dodge, but never in my Taurus.

You need to find the leak soon. If your modulator is shot then it's sending tranny fluid into your intake. Either way, Taurus transmissions are garbage, and I imagine you'll blow it out a lot faster running it like that.
