1991 pontiac grand am woman please help

I think my car is possessed! I have a 1991 Pontiac Grand Am 2.3 Quad 4 DOHC. My husband was driving to work one day (about a 45 minute drive), and went to slow down at a stop sign, and the car just died. He tried to start it back thinking it just stalled, but it would crank but not turn over. Over the past year we have replaced the torque converter and the torque converter clutch solenoid because of the stalling. That corrected it. Then my oil pressure guage kept saying I had no oil pressure. So we replaced the oil pump, that did not correct it. Then we replaced the main bearings, and it still said I had no oil pressure. Then we replaced the oil sending unit , and that fixed the oil pressure problems. Then the car was running fine, but not driving fine. When we would drive around 55mph. The steering wheel would just shake. It has brand new tires. So, we relaced the rack-n-pinion. Did not fix the problem. Also when you turn the steering wheel kind-of sharp it makes a loud sqeeling noise. So, if there is anyone out there that can tell me why the car would just die or what is causing the steering problems, I would greatly appreciate it. oh by the way we checked the timing chain and the car is still in time.

First, you need front end alignment around $40+

2nd, if your power steering pump "belt" is separate from the main serpentine belt then the power steering pump "belt" needs replacement and might as well replace the old power steering fluid (not difficult to do but just take your time).

3rd, the TCC solenoid might be bad again. Just try to unplug the TCC solenoid connector on top of the tranny and see if that clears the problem away.

Thank you, for this info. We checked the TCC solenoid and it is fine as far as we know, but the car still won't turn over. If you can think of any other reason for it not starting please let me know. We also checked the starter and it is fine. So you think it could be electrical? The reason I ask is because the cars headlights were flickering for several months before the car died. We know it is not the alternator or the battery but I was losing voltage somewhere. Thank you.

Have you tried starting it with starter fluid? If it starts with the fluid then its most likely a fuel problem. Have you checked the plugs to see if they are getting spark? If they dont get spark, then it could be the coil packs, ignition switch, or the ignition module. The first thing I would do is give it some starter fluid and go from there.
