i have a T2, sometimes i hate paying for premium gas so i just buy regular unleaded. Am i going to pay the consequences later if i keep it up? HOw many times do you think is too much for me to keep putting 87 octane gas?

Re: What octane do you run your 7?

When I had my '86 N/A RX-7, I usually put in 87 octane. Now my brother owns it and I have no idea what he puts in it. I'm gettin' a 10AE pretty soon, and I'll be running her on 89 since it's cheaper nowadays.

Re: What octane do you run your 7?

I would not recommend running that 10th AE on 89.

Re: What octane do you run your 7?

I would run 91 if I could, but it's not available here. 89 is the highest we got, and we call it a luxury. I'd have to scoot all the way to Ames to get 91 or higher octane.

Re: What octane do you run your 7?

My brother now owns my old 1986 N/A Sports model and I'm pretty sure he's paying for 87 octane.

Coming soon: 1988 10th Anniversary Edition, will put either 89 or 91 in it. There's a Casey's in Alden that should have 91, and I didn't even think about that before. If that's the case, then it's 91 all the way.
