Short killing battery

1992 Olds 98 Regency. The car has a short that will kill the battery over night. I hooked a test light between neg battery post and cable. When #11 fuse is pulled the test light goes out. #11 fuse is radio, oil age, oil level and dash lights. Has anyone had this problem? I would appreciate any and all help. Thanks

Re: Short killing battery

Make Sure Radio Is Not Staying On If It Is You Have A Backwards Memory And Power Wire On The Radio If Its After Market Or Been Replaced. Also Have The Battery Checked

I had a problem with my power antenna shorting out. It would drain the battery overnight on many occasions.

Re: Short killing battery

im not familiar with a short causing battery drain? is the antenna motor continously running? if it is unplug it behind the trunk cover on the right side. if not have your battery and alternator tested

Re: Short killing battery

ELC Struts are leaking causing motor to stay on.

or bad power antenna

or bad battery.

Everytime the battery runs down it looses 10% of its capacity.
