Unhappy losing sign os any hope

ok here we go i have a 1990 crx hf.....i blew up the original engine. i got a d15b2 from a friend that he had lying around. i put this engine in and kept the fuel injection off the 8 valve it is causing mad problems. i am trying to bolt up the original mpfi(i think this is what it is, its the throttle body or whatever that came on the d15) to this engine so i am switching the engine wiring harnes and nothing is going together vacume lines wont match up wiring wont match up to the old wires that are in the engine compartment and on and on and on.....also i dont know if the ecu will run the d15..........is there anything i can do to make this swap possible or should i trash what ive got in there and break my bank and pick up a b16 and start from scratch??????DAMN CAR

i know how you feel

i know how you feel dude it sucks when shit blows up but thats just the way it goes. we've all had some thing break, and it sucks. if your on a budget you have to ask your self what you want. if you want to go fast you could do a swap. I'm prob gonna get a lot of shit for this but on a BUDGET you might want to look in to a LS with a TD05H stock DSM turbo its a lot cheaper than a B16 or B18C but its still a damn good set up, plus you would have a turbo rex. if moneys not a factor look in to a B16, B18c, or a H22. it all comes down to how you want the car to preform.

info

any LS swap will set you back a bout a $1000. the turbo kit you could prob get for like $300-$700. it most likely won't be a complete kit and you'll have to do some searching. if your lucky you may have friends who have DSM shit just layin' around, you could trade them parts or get a really good cash deal. install is simple, bolt the turbo on then drop the engine in the car done. now there are other things you may want to take in to concideration, like a fuel management, fuel pump, injectors and shit like that. I have a friend with this set up on a 93 hatch and at 10lbs of boost he put down 249whp, at 12lbs 262whp. now he has an emanage, 420cc injectors, a fuel pressure regulator, and a 255 walbro fuel pump. if you kept the boost down around 8lbs you would prob put down close to like 235whp and you could probally get away with just the fuel pump which you could pick up for under $100. If you need any parts feel free to email me or just check out WWW.WHITELINEPERFORMANCE.COM hope this helps let me know which way you go.

Re: losing sign os any hope

your awsome i really apreciate your honesty and help..well what ive decided to do is to swap the head of the old hf motor and put it on the bottom end of the d15b2, this curing all my problems the injection i have will work the wireing will work for the injection etc.etc.keep in mind this car is my daily driver and i blew it up last week bumbing rides and taking the bus is not fun.hahahaha. im really going to consider this ls swapcheap performance is always a plus.....one more thing is i was wondering if you were affilited with whiteline performance.com if so good job
