My Friends Suck (They are only into Domestics)

First off I live in berlin Massachusetts. I drive a 2000 Civic Si. Heres My Rant/Problem/Whatever you want to call it.

None of my friends drive hondas. They think I know nothing about cars because i drive a Honda Civic. My friends cars include:
Chevy Caprice LT1
Chevy Monte Carlo 6 Speed TPI
F-150 Supercharged Lifted Shortbed
Chevy Blazer K10 Lifted 33's
Chevy S-10 4-wheel drive Extended Cab (beater)
Ford Taurus S.H.O.

Every time I mention my car and what im doing to it, they always say something like.... "wanna race?" and i get so pissed off because they dont even get the fact that my car may not be as fast as their car is, but it can out handle there car any day of the week and probably beat there car in a real "Racing" situation (excluding drag). Sure my car wont win in a drag (obviously) but that doesnt mean that i shouldnt own it. Lets see, would i rather have a car that is a gas guzzler and fast from the get-go, or would i rather have a car that has an efficient engine that is harder to get good horsepower gains out of because its already working efficiently. I agree with the term "theres no replacement for displacement" when it comes to NA cars, but why are some people so dumb that they dont understand that 300 HP stock V8 Engines are not anything special, and If I wanted one I could have one too. I just wish that one of my friends was into My car. And for the record I believe that i see more girls driving mustangs (the original american muscle car) than i do guys, and when i do see guys behind the wheel of mustangs, they usually think there car is wicked fast, and i usually think to myself that they are wicked gay. Anyways, the moral of this story is....Im from massachusetts. I love my 2000 Civic Si, I want to chill with other Honda enthusiasts in MA, and ditch my friends. So, drag racing isn't real racing? And as far as outhandling them, make sure none of them get a SVT Focus if you want to keep that true.

I believe I stated that I was excluding drag racing from this racing category, and obviously you didn't read it right. I was obviously talking about racing that involved corners, and that is why I excluded drag racing. So next time you believe that you are in fact just as cool as you just made yourself seem...maybe you should read the whole thread instead of just trying to be all bad-ass. I obviously was saying how much I love honda civics and made no mention of a ford focus, so why would you even mention a focus. Maybe next time I should clarify myself better so I dont get other cool kids like yourself saying stupid bullshit like... "Dude Dale Earnhardts Nascar car would kick your ass in a race....bitch" Read what you wrote, and then try to understand how much I think what you said is pointless, and not even worth mentioning. Only reply to post where somebody cares....I personally dont care about the svt focus.

No, you mentioned domestics. Maybe you should read your own posts. And you said drag racing isn't real racing, maybe because your car is so slow you prefer to pick up speed and go around corners in your 'mad tyte' civic.

Then I said, 'better hope one of them doesn't get a focus SVt (which just happens to be a domestic, fyi), because he would leave you in the corners'. And what the hell are you talking about nascar for? I never mentioned nascar. You seem to just hate domestics. People like you give civic owners a bad name...

tomsindahizouse I agree with you totally. I had a 1993 talon and it could handle really well. I now have a 1969 Cutlass and it doesn't handle nearly as well but it is a lot faster. What everyone needs to do is focus on the good things of others cars. I also used to have a 1981 CJ5 that was slow and couldn't take turns at all but it would go anywhere I wanted it to. I think EVERY car has good points but SOME people are so wrapped up in their cars good points that they overlook or are just mad because someone else's car can do something better. People just need to be more humble because that would stop all these little post wars going on.

you know what put a turbo on your car then go drag race them, your car will still cost less then theirs, eat less gas then most domestics and handle better then most domestics.

Some people like domestics some like imports, both have their good points. But i agree with what you said making a v8 with 300hp is no big deal
