[Exhaust] Bent pipe.
My wife had an "oops" and backed into something and pushed the pipe towards the front. It bent the curved portion at the top where it goes over the rear axle. Do I need to be concerned about a restriction or is everything ok as long as I don't see a CEL? I know a new pipe is only about 40 bucks, but it has to wait a week or so, if possible.

Re: [Exhaust] Bent pipe.
Depends on how bad your bend is. If you know your going to get a new pipe, why dont you just go in there and cut it off before the bend? It wont make it that much louder.

Doesn't sound like a good idea. The kink is over the axle and gasses could get trapped and seep into the cabin. I think it will be fine for a little while.

Re: [Exhaust] Bent pipe.
If you cut after the mufler at an angle, you'll redirect gasses to go downwards. Unless you have some really bad seals on the back door, you shouldn't get any fume seepage into the cabin. Again, I'd do this only if you notice a big difference while driving w/ the bent pipe restricting gas flow.
