Help please.

2001 4.8 4x4. very uderpowered imo, what programmer do you guys reccomend? What will it give me with just a k&N filter? How about adding a Gibson stainless supertruck system? Just some questions. I have a 03 Suburban with 5.3 that will run circles around my silverado. What is the best bang for the buck on cold air systems? I am sorry, I know it has been on here 1000 times.
