Angry engine dies while driving

i have a 91 grand am and when i am driving down the street the engine shuts off. sometimes it starts back up after about 10 minutes sometimes longer.

Could be your full pump. Worn out fuel pumps are notorious for sputtering and shutting off (thus killing engine) when they get hot. It is not common for someone with a bad fuel pump to start up car fine, drive several miles, and then have the car suddenly quit. My guess would be your fuel pump - have it checked out.

Yep sounds like a fuel pump. Just went through the same with my GA. Had the tank pulled and replaced the pump. Running smooth now.

My 2000 did that 6 monhts ago...it was the O2 sensor.
