2nd Gen fuel pump

Does anyone know if the 2nd gen fuel pump is electric or if it works of the drive somehow; if it's electric can you tell me where the power wire is? Thanks.

Is it a fuel injected car or does it have a carburator?

It's a carb, It a rochester Q-Jet 4bbl M4MC 600 cfm.

it is mechanical on the side of the engine block...passanger side i believe, toward the front and bottom.
