Starting Problem with 2001 Intrigue

Have checked all fuses. Can get starter to crank manually and fuel pump by shorting it but it won't fire and won't turn anything on. Have also checked all relays. Any suggestions

How do you find those codes?

you need a OBD2 (OBDii) code reader that plugs into an area under the dash. It will read the computer codes stored in the car computer. Costs about $100 for something descent.

Equus and others make them. Must be an OBD2 reader and not the older style for 96 and newer cars. Some auto parts stores like Checkers will loan you one for free or if you bring in your car they will do the scan for you.

I would recommend just buying one. Then when you loan/rent yours out you will look like a genius. This shit was all new to me also--so don't worry--it's just the way cars are now. It's worth buying the reader and Equus makes a good one.
