valve cover studs for b18c1
i think i stripped the valve cover studs for my engine on my how can i fix this? can i just clean up the threads with a die? or do i have to replace the studs. if i do, do i have to just unscrew the studs?

LOL
Sorry to laugh but the EXACT same thing happend to my friend's stud when we were switching his valve cover. It isn't that hard to fix, you just need a deep socket wrench to take it out. Then replace it with a new one. I would recomend getting a new stud before you take it out though. My friend had his old integra that he drove into a truck with so we took one from his old head. Just remeber that Honda engine parts are almost always interchangeable so don't worry if the stud came from a b17 or something else, they are all the same. |
