tail-lights out, brake lights work

ok, i drive a 1993 honda accord, and last night i got pulled over by the po-po for havin my tail lights out. my brake lights work, but no tail lights, so i check the bulbs, they look good, i check the fuse pannels(there are 2) and not one fuse is blown in any of them. i bought new bulbs and put those in, same problem(no tail lights, yes brak lights)

are the front parking lights working? if yes, check wiring to tails. if no, recheck ALL fuses, check light switch and switch wiring

ok, the front parking lights ain't workin, and in my owners manual it says that when i turn my light switch to the first knotch, i should get tail lights, parking lights and dash lights, what a coincidence, none of them work. so i guess it has to be a fuse right? i'm gonna need to re-check them.

p.s. why the hell are my brake lights working then? the tail lights and brake lights are in the same bulb, wouldn't they be on the same fuse?

No, they won't be, the two coils of the bulb are on separate circuits.

You may also want to check to see if there is a small plug-in relay in the fuse box involved here.
