no it does not hit the monitor. i have just been playing cds through the dvd player and i have the volume up all the way on my cd player then i can control it from the dvd player... make sense? and the climate controls, its not like im messing with them all the time so when i do i can just lift it up and change the heat or whatever

When he shifts?! You mean when he puts it in park?

I'm gonna say no to the zip-tied walmart TV.

Damn, I thought it was manual. Didn't see the push button at first.

Re: Yes/no?

could work...but i'd personally go for a custom enclosure...take apart the dvd player and relocate the buttons and just have the screen in the middle

if i were u...i'd do a CRX dash swap

Re: Yes/no?

it'd look better without the zipties and the wires sticking out. however, i'd spend extra money and get one of those cd/mp3/dvd players that have a motorized lcd screen

nice ghetto riggin tho in my tercel i had a power inverter connected to the cig lighter - that was connected to a power strip - then i had a portable cd player hooked up to that, along with a pair of satellites and subs from a computer speaker setup - didn't sound too bad and i could play mp3s

Re: Yes/no?

How often do you use your heater/ AC? I would say make a fiberglass mold of your middle vents/clock assembly then pull the screen out and fit it into the mold.

Re: Yes/no?

ummm i'm with SiZ, i'd say no. if you mounted it somewhere then that's cool. if you can mount it in your glove box, or cut it in to your dash that would work. then you can splice the wires behind the dash. i was gonna get some of them TV's just to shut my kids up on the way to school.
