89 merc GM frozen doors

Front doors (passenger and driver) of my 89 GM both freeze up in sub-zero weather - unless the sun is shining on it in the morning, I don't stand a chance of getting in, even if door is unlocked. Can't count the number of days I've climbed in from the back seat! The locks freeze up easily. I have a keyless remote entry and remote starter which is sometimes helpful but not always. Any suggestions? I was wondering if the rubber seal at the edge of the door needs replaced, but it may be the door hinge problem? Car gets regular oil changes with lubes.

Try these steps

a) Apply a light coat of Vaseline or baby oil to door seal rubber.

b) Spray door latch / lock mechanism with WD40

c) Apply small amount of oil to door hinges

Better if this done on a warm day or in a heated parking garage so fluids contact car surfaces and don't roll off ice / frost crystals.
