spark plug wires
Help, my 6 cyl 1996 jeep cherokee was not running good skipping. I changed the spark plugs and wires and now it wont start. The spark plug gap was already set, maybe the wires are out of order. I pulled them of and replaced them and am not sure they are in order. I am in no way a mechanic. I need help.

Re: Re: spark plug wires

Re: spark plug wires
The distributer hold down screw farthest from the block is between #1 and #4. #1 is the rear most of the two.

Re: Re: spark plug wires
okay, so #1 is the post located furthest from the engine block, then the screw, then the #4 post? is that right

Re: spark plug wires
looking from the passenger side, #1 is on the left and #4 on the right.
Distributer rotation is clockwise JD |
